Newton Community Centre has now reopened

A company called John Martin-Hoyes Ltd completed the work on the new floor at Newton Community Centre and did a fantastic job.

Also a big thank you to Cast Angling Project for their help in removing the previous flooring and a local volunteer for spraying the remaining space with pesticide to get rid of any remaining fungal spores.

Newton Community Centre was reopened on Monday 5th February with a well attended open morning to the public.

The public were incredibly complimentary about the newly painted and refurbished main hall. Bolsover TV also filmed a segment about the reopening.  See the Newton segment starting from 3 minutes 20 seconds on Bolsover TV here.
